The nearest shops are in Pooley bridge (2 miles) including post office, general store and inns. The market town of Penrith is 8 miles distant.

Electricity consumed and phone calls made are paid for by reference to meter readings and as advised by BT.

All properties have mains water. Dogs/cats may be brought but must be kept strictly under control. Please do not allow your pets upstairs.

Cots and high chairs can be provided on request. Visitors are requested not to smoke in the bedrooms. Please consult the owners if you wish to have barbecues or bonfires.

All properties have well-equipped kitchens, with electric cookers, toasters, electric kettles, freezers, microwave ovens, washing machines, tumble dryers and colour TVs with video.

All beds are provided with duvets, pillows and one blanket. Guests (who should bring their own towels) usually bring their own bed linen, but this can be provided (at an extra charge) by special request.

All properties have shared access to private lake frontage and access to public footpaths and open fells.

We have rowing boats (with or without outboard engines) Mirror and Topper sailing dinghies, kayaks, inflatable dinghy and mountain bikes and there are boat launching and storage facilities for visitors own boats. Please advise requirements on booking form.

Horses, there is grazing available for visitors own horses (May - October) (experienced adult riders only). Route maps can be provided or riders can be accompanied by a qualified Trail Ride Leader. For the various packages available, please apply for separate price list.

For all properties, a firm booking is made on receipt of a completed Booking Form and deposit (£115.00 for full weeks and £57.50 for weekends and short breaks).

Full week bookings are normally made from Friday to Friday and tenants are asked to vacate by 10.00am on the date of departure.

The accommodation will be ready by 4.00pm on the first day.
